Jiangsu SHEMAR Power Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "SHEMAR power") is a private enterprise founded on August 29, 1996. In the past 26 years, SHEMAR electric power has followed the law, based on 3 principles of production innovation, applied new material technology for continuous product innovation, and successively developed new products with technology which can fill the international gaps and its performance reaching the international leading level. Over the past 26 years, SHEMAR products and solutions have been successfully applied in more than 100 countries and regions around the world through cooperation with more than 95% of global electrical equipment manufacturers such as Hitachi ABB, GE and Siemens.

In 2020, relying on Siemens 4.0 industrial standard, the transmission, substation and distribution composite external insulation industrial base (phase I) and National Key Laboratory of energy and power insulation composite materials officially opened on November 20, laying a solid foundation for the substantial increase of production capacity under intelligent manufacturing.

"UHV ± 800kV DC transmission" project won the national science and technology progress award in2017. (SHEMAR power as one of the main completion units, SHEMAR electric power company’s chairman Bin Ma, as the project’s main participant.)

In 2017, SHEMAR power developed a distribution network composite cross arm whose comprehensive performance has reached the international leading level (CMIC [2018] No. 022), which can greatly improve the lightning protection level and effectively prevent the occurrence of lightning trip accidents of distribution lines.

In 2017, SHEMAR power developed a new type of explosion-proof transformer composite bushing whose main technical performance reached the international leading level of similar products (CMIC [2018] No. 106), providing more stable and economic power equipment components for global users.

In 2013, through the innovation of structure and technology, SHEMAR innovated and developed the insulator auxiliary shed (anti flashover solution) with the comprehensive performance reaching the international leading level (CMIC [2015] No. 036). It can effectively solve the problems of pollution flashover, rain flashover, ice flashover, etc., and meet requirements of service life of more than 30 years.

Bin Ma, chairman of the company, as one of the main executors of the project of "key technology, complete set of equipment and engineering application of UHVAC transmission", won the 2012 National Science and technology progress award.

2010年
In 2010, SHEMAR electric power developed a transmission tower composite cross arm (CMIC [2013] No. 15), which is the first in the world and whose comprehensive technical performance has reached the international leading level. It can effectively prevent the wind tripping and flashover accidents of the transmission line, significantly reduce the width of the transmission corridor, tower height, tower foundation and tower body. It realizes the whole life cycle maintenance free which greatly improved the reliability and economy of overhead lines.

In 2008, relying on the technical advantages of composite materials and the successful practice of substation composite external insulation, the long-life line composite insulator with technical performance reaching the international advanced level (CMIC [2008] No. 131) was developed, which promised and met the requirements of 30-year service life.

In 2004, through the innovation of material formula and process technology, SHEMAR invented the composite insulator for substation, which filled the gap over the world, and its comprehensive technical performance reached the international leading level (CMIC Electronics [2004] No. 010). The problems of explosion, pollution flashover, rain flashover, ice flashover and brittle fracture of the insulator were completely eliminated, and the double clearing of accident loss and operation and maintenance cost was realized.

In 1996, SHEMAR electric power aimed at the problem of oil leakage of power equipment. Through technological innovation, it developed a leading technology rubber seal, which effectively solved the problem of oil leakage of power equipment. In 2004, SHEMAR participated in the drafting of the industry standard "Technical conditions for sealing products for Transformers".
Over the past 26 years, relying on the application of a series of external insulation maintenance free products or overall solutions in the global power grid, the accumulated cost saved for the global power grid has exceeded 50 billion yuan.
